Danielle Devaux
Dani Devaux has been practicing Shotokan Karate for over 25 years and has achieved the rank of 3rd Dan. Under the guidance of Sensei Patrick Edward, she has also been instructing Saint Lucia Shotokan Karate Association members for 10 years. In Saint Lucia she was awarded National Sports awards for Marital Arts in 2003 and 2005. For 7 years she has been enrolled in the prestigious ISKF Instructor Training Program, which covers all aspects of karate as well as biomechanics and efficiency of movement – essential for all athletes and anyone wishing to bring out the best in their physical selves.
From 2006 Dani started developing the Blood, Sweat and Tears fitness program which has been used by many national sports representatives from various disciplines – karate, swimming, athletics, tennis and sailing. BST Fitness is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) program developed to help athletes and individuals improve their fitness levels. Intensive research has proven that HIIT is the most effective way to lose fat, increase muscle, build stamina and strength as well as improve cardio-vascular capacity.
Class Description
The BST program is unique in many ways – it is always held outdoors, uses bodyweight only exercises and allows people of all fitness levels to work alongside one another. Working out collectively creates a natural group dynamic which is extremely motivating. It fires up natural human competition, encouraging us to push ourselves a little further and taking us to a level we never thought possible.
If you’re willing to put in the effort, you WILL achieve results! Come try out BST during the Health and Wellness Retreat, November 1st-3rd in Saint Lucia.
