It is so easy to get married in Saint Lucia! There is no residency period, so you can have a tropical wedding and start that Saint Lucian honeymoon within 24hrs of arrival as long as you apply for a Same Day Marriage License and you have all the necessary, original documentation.

Ease into Wedded Bliss

An application for a Marriage License can be made immediately on arrival. Fees are determined according to the expedition at which you require the license. Same Day licenses are US$200, otherwise the regular fee for a Marriage License is US$125.

Standard Documentation is Required:

  • Valid Passport
  • Divorce Decree (if an Applicant has been divorced). Note that the original or certified copy should be presented as proof.
  • A death certificate (original or certified copy) of the spouse (in the case of a widow/widower)
  • A Deed Poll (if the name has been changed)
  • An authenticated translation in addition to the originals if required documents are not in English.

In the meantime, you and your wedding organizer will be busy planning the most memorable day of your life.

Many of the hotels have dedicated wedding coordinators whose sole aim is to make your day run as smoothly and as stress-free as possible. They are happy to organize the music, catering, cake, flowers, and even Best Man if needed! Wedding and honeymoon packages are also available at the hotels, which can include fruit and flower baskets on arrival, commemorative champagne glasses, a sunset catamaran cruise or a private candlelit dinner on a secluded beach.

There are many unique and spectacular locations for you to exchange or renew your vows. Choose from the iconic Piton Mountains as a stunning backdrop or one of the beautiful botanical gardens on island.
